More than 500 law students at Georgetown University have signed a petition asking the law school to scrap its new exam software.
In a letter to administrators, students raised privacy and security concerns about the Exam4 platform and objected to the requirement to install it on their personal laptops in order to take their finals.
Students also complained that the software was not compatible with the latest operating system updates for both Mac and PC users. The students' complaints were first reported by Above the Law.
Tanya Weinberg, director of media relations for the Georgetown University Law Center, said that administrators have "been in touch with students about the issues they have raised" and are "actively working to respond to their concerns."
