Security at Northeastern Illinois University detained a man after he attempted to jump on stage during a talk by President Trump's former press secretary Sean Spicer.
The event Thursday was largely peaceful, despite drawing student and faculty protesters, The Chicago Tribune reported.
The newspaper reported it was unclear whether the man was involved in the formal protests.
Spicer's talk with Donna Brazile, who formerly served as interim chair of the Democratic National Committee, centered on the 2020 presidential election.
